Same Basic Logo, New Slogan
The basic look is still the same, but the site has taken on a bit of a different header. The logo was made a little bigger and the splatter was turned. I also changed my slogan and make it look handwritten.
As a designer, I’m never fully satisfied with my work. David Airey wrote a great article on just this topic. So it is highly likely that I will be changing the look again soon. I think it’s important to keep something that your readers are used to, while balancing redesigning and improving as the site evolves.
Changes to the RSS Icon
The RSS Icon was tweaked and customized to fit more within my theme. I also added a quick and easy jquery hover effect that displays the number of subscribers to the site. Although the total is quite humbling, it is improving slowly, but surely. I learned of how to accomplish this effect through an article written by blog.spoongraphics. If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing to my feed.
User Community Feed
I also added a user community feed, that you can see on the sidebar of every page. It’s a place where you can look to find relevant links. Also if you have a site that is in the graphic/web design field, you should consider submitting a link. The user feed is also available through RSS.
What do you think?
Are you constantly changing your site? Do you think the redesigned header looks better? Let me know your thoughts and comments; drop me one below.
If this post was helpful to you, please consider sharing it with others, it's a great way of saying thanks.

I like it! I’m always changing my site around just because I am always finding different ways to present myself and my style, so I usually just go for it and keep on the lookout for feedback. And before I know it, my site grows just like I do! :)

I’m in the absolute same position. After 3 months running fudgegraphics has already its 3rd design. I believe that I finally found a layout that will satisfy me for some time, but I’m sure I will change it again sometime.

Hi Andrew,
I’m glad your changes weren’t too drastic, as I like the simple layout and navigation you show. Your content is also very easy to read, which is at the top of my list when it comes to web design.

I’m really happy with the way it turned out, and the positive feedback, especially coming from the three of you! I definitely didn’t want things too drastic different; I think this is just right (for now :) )
