Simon, I was so comfortable in Photoshop that I often used it for tasks that are much better suited for Illustrator, but now that I’ve been pushing myself in Illustrator more, I’ve found out just how awesome it is. I think you would too :)

Pretty good result! Clear and easy to follow. Although personally I use Photoshop to create all my vectors anyway :D I have Illustrator, but I just can't get to grips with all those control points.Simon SC's last post was... Tasker Updated to v1.4

Max, Hey, not a bad idea! I am brainstorming for my portfolio site. That’s another thought to file away. I couldn’t find much on the web in regards to texture in Illustrator, so I was glad I could come up with this. I think it work pretty well.

John, Thanks a lot for the words of encouragement. I am definitely going to do more in Illustrator. I’m really getting to like it as much as Photoshop. I didn’t I fully appreciate all it’s capabilities before I started writing these tuts. And I’ve still got so much to learn.

Mariusz, I think you’re right. The perspective may be slightly off. But I think the effect still works great, and I hope you can benefit even more from the techniques, than the final result.
