Letterpress, A Popular Design Trend

It’s no secret around here, that I like letterpress design, and think that it’s a growing trend (and it would seem that I’m not alone on that. I even wrote a tutorial on how to achieve the look in Photoshop. Around the design community, you can also find a tutorial on how to create the look using CSS, and plenty of letterpress design inspiration.

Armed with my fascination for this style, I combed gallery sites for business cards that showcased beautiful letterpress designs. The result is the fabulous collection featured below. Enjoy!

Cool. :) I love the circle one. Wouldn’t it be something if the card wasn’t rectangular but a circle also!?

That are really great designs. For me this is a new and innovative way of designing business cards. I have started thinking designing my own business card using any one design posted above. :)

Hi, was visiting your blog for something else entirely but found this and have to say I’m a letterpress fan. Thought you might like to take a look at the Willow Wood guys – not everybody’s taste I guess but I’ve not seen anything like it else where.

    Love the blog – thanks!

Yes letterpress can really make a business card stand out. It seems they are becoming very popular these days but they’re still considered cutting edge in most design circles.

Some people don’t like them though because they’re too expensive. I always tell them there are better ways to scrimp on costs than saving $10 to buy generic business cards. First impressions count!

So true, they not only look nice, but feel great in your hand as well, exactly the kind of impression you want to represent you.

Finding letterpress printers locally is not the easiest task though. I guess because the demand for such quality prints is not there in enough numbers to support the business.

Thanks to internet Letterpress lives on !!!
