The great thing with ExpressionEngine is that the CMS does not define the website and I think we can clearly see that by the range of websites you have listed here – all very good ones as well. EE really does split the presentation layer away from the CMS allowing the designer to not have to limit their imagination by the complexities of fitting it into the system. Of course if the designer knows how to get the best out of EE then it can do a great deal.

Hello, my name is Jessica and I’m just interested in the world of the web. This site seems very interesting and illustrative. I think that always helps a lot to see and read the opinions of experts in a subject, strategies and small dettails of those who know better.
    Thanks.

A good collection thanks. We have our own CMS we’ve developed over the years and also use WP quite often.
I’d be very interested to see a ‘CMS comparison’ article that includes Expression Engine,WP, Joomla et al. We have heard about Expression Engine a lot but not used to date.
Anyone seen such online anywhere you could point me to?

    Thanks!

I’ve been looking into Expression Engine for a while now and I’m starting to like it a lot more, the more I see great designs as per the above.

We’ve always tended to use WordPress for our clients, since it is so easy to manipulate but also very easy to teach them to use themselves too.

What’s the back-end of the Expression Engine CMS like?

    Thanks,

    Matt
