Big Typography Poster Contest – Launch!

Introduction

I’m stoked to announce the launch of my first ever contest here at MyInkBlog! The concept is simple and the prizes are cool. I think just about everyone in the design community loves big typography design. So here’s your chance to let your creative juices flow and make your own big typography style poster using a quote as a starting point.

What is Big Typography? Get Inspired!

What’s the Quote?

I know the anticipation is rising ;) If you recognize where the quote is from, please avoid the temptation to create a poster all about that. After all, the biggest criteria to win the contest will be creativity. So here it is:

“What we do in life, echoes in eternity.”

So what are the Prizes?

There will be prizes awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Here’s what you can win…

What is the Submission Deadline?

You can submit your poster design until October 10, 2008.

Where to Submit Your Design?

I am using Flickr to host all the images entries for this contest. If you don’t already have an account, you can sign up there for free. Then join the Big Typography Contest Group that I created specifically for this contest. All entries must be uploaded to this group.

Any Other Rules?

  • Multiple entries are encourage, there is no limit.
  • The size should be 750px(w) by 1,000px(h).
  • The entire quote must be used in some manner.

Who Will Judge This Competition?

The judges will be Adelle Charles of Fuel Your Creativity, Liam McKay of Function and myself. Adelle and Liam are both super talented designers as evidenced by their blogs and body of work. We will be primarily looking for unique and creative designs.

I can’t wait to start seeing the awesome designs you guys and gals come up with! Let the contest begin!
