I like how you've simplified it by splitting it up into several areas. I tend to look at improving blogs similarly - I see traffic, design, content, community, monetization and overall value as the main key points of evaluation. It's great to take a few minutes once a week and ponder one's course for blog improvement. Also great once a month or so to take stock of some key numbers that reflect progress.
