The design community again impresses this month with quality articles, tutorials, freebies and some new sites I’ve stumbled on. This is by far my longest MyInkTrail. I hope you find the content as useful as I did!

A great place to find design inspiration is in brochures, flyers and leaflets. Companies have been using these marketing tools for 100′s of years now. With the advances in printing the designs are limitless. The results of this creative marketing can be stunning.

In one of my recent web projects I was asked to include dropdown style navigation to the site. I found it quite exhausting just how many articles, techniques and services are out there are on topic. However, what I didn’t find was a compilation of some really slick examples. Here are some examples of sites that I think did a great job with it.

This month has been a complete whirlwind for me. I started my new job yesterday, I’ve relocated 6 hours away, and most of my stuff is still in boxes! Despite all that craziness, here’s my attempt to find the best of what was the month of September.

Navigation is arguably one of the most prominent and important aspect of any web design. It allows for a clear navigation and a way for visitors to explore deep into a website’s archives. The purpose of a navigation is to construct a concise and easy way for visitors to find their way around.

Plenty of you that stop over here at myinkblog have most likely seen most, if not all of these sites before. Have you ever really looked at them? Closely? Many of the typefaces used in these examples I chose are all pretty similar. That’s not a bad thing. You can find inspiration in almost anything!

In one of my current projects I have to recreate a logo that has some script elements in it. Which left me curious about logo inspiration with script fonts. The response to that curiosity, is the list that I’ve assembled below of beautifully designed logos.

Another day, another month gone by… slow down, please. Despite the relative speed of days gone by, August was MyInkBlog’s best month. At the end of every month I like to give a roundup for the best of that month in the design community. So here are some interesting links I found along the trail this month.
